About Randi Rotjan’s Episode

Randi Rojan talks with her old friend and fellow scientist, Greg Stone, about the significance of the Phoenix Islands Protected Area. Randi has an extensive background in marine science and brings that experience to PIPA and the enormous task of supporting the now pristine protected area in the middle of the Pacific Ocean the size of California. From studying coral reefs in the shallows to diving 18,000 meters in the deep ocean surrounding the atoll, Randi gives us a glimpse of the one of a kind paradise the island nation of Kiribati has provided as a gift to all humanity.
